Welcome to Melbourne — our first Papua New Guinean team members

In July 2026 we welcomed our first Papua New Guinean team members to Australia. After interviews and pre-departure briefings in Port Moresby earlier in the year, the group flew via Brisbane to Melbourne, where the HUMANBIZ team was waiting to meet them.

The first days were spent on arrival induction: settling into accommodation, banking and tax file numbers, site safety and hygiene, and getting to know the town and the team they would be working with at our partner Greenham in Tongala.

We sincerely wish every one of them success as they begin their new life and journey in Australia. This cohort is the first step in a long-term partnership with Papua New Guinea under the PALM scheme — and the reason we are back in Port Moresby recruiting again this year.
